A team that takes business planning seriously
Yapqero works with founders, managers, and finance teams across Ireland to produce business plans that hold up to scrutiny - from bank lending officers to private investors.
What we actually do
Each engagement starts with a conversation about the specific decision the plan needs to support. A plan for a credit union loan looks different from one used to attract an equity partner. We write to the audience, not to a template.
Built around one specific discipline
Yapqero was established in Dublin in 2016 with a narrow focus: business plan writing for Irish companies navigating funding, regulatory approval, or strategic change. That focus has not shifted.
Most business plan services are offered as an add-on by accountancy firms or general consultants. At Yapqero, it is the only thing we do. That means the people working on a client's plan have seen hundreds of similar documents and know what reviewers at Enterprise Ireland, the SBCI, and Irish commercial banks typically scrutinise.
The work is not formulaic. A hospitality operator seeking a lease renewal needs a different document than a medtech startup preparing for a seed round. We adjust the financial modelling depth, the narrative structure, and the level of market evidence to match the reader and the stakes.
The people behind the documents
Small enough to be hands-on, experienced enough to handle complex cases without a lengthy onboarding process.
Orla Devenny
Head of Business Planning
Depth over breadth
Orla has spent twelve years working with Irish SMEs on funding applications, growth strategies, and restructuring documents. Before joining Yapqero, she spent four years inside a Dublin-based private equity firm reviewing the plans that founders submitted - which gives her a clear sense of where documents fail to persuade and why.
The broader team includes two financial modellers who build the projections and sensitivity analyses, and a researcher who handles market sizing and competitive landscape work. No single person carries all three responsibilities, which tends to produce more rigorous output than a generalist approach.
- Financial projections and scenario modelling
- Narrative structure for investor and lender audiences
- Market research and competitive positioning
- Regulatory and compliance context for Irish markets
