Plans built on evidence

Yapqero works with founders, operators, and established companies to produce business plans that hold up under scrutiny - from lenders, investors, and internal leadership alike.

How Yapqero approaches the work

A business plan is only as useful as the assumptions behind it. Yapqero starts every engagement by examining the actual numbers - existing revenue, cost structure, addressable market size - rather than working backward from a target figure someone wants to reach.

Most plans fail not because the idea is bad but because the document doesn't anticipate hard questions. Lenders ask about cash flow coverage. Investors ask about exit scenarios. Internal boards ask about headcount assumptions. Each of those deserves a direct answer built into the plan itself.

  • Scenario modelling across conservative, base, and stress cases
  • Sector-specific benchmarking against comparable Irish businesses
  • Narrative aligned with financial tables - no internal contradictions
  • Structured for the specific reader: bank, investor, or board
  • Plain language throughout - no filler, no padding

What the process looks like

There is no single template that works for every business. A hospitality operator applying for a bank loan needs different depth on cash flow than a tech startup seeking seed funding. Yapqero adjusts structure and emphasis based on who will read the plan and what decision they need to make.

The engagement typically runs in four stages, each with a defined output so clients know exactly where things stand.

01
Discovery call and brief We map the business model, funding purpose, and reader. This shapes the entire document structure before any writing begins.
02
Data collection and research Client provides financials; Yapqero sources market data, sector reports, and comparable benchmarks independently.
03
Draft and financial model Full narrative draft alongside a linked financial model. Both are reviewed together - the numbers and the story must match.
04
Revision and final delivery Two rounds of revisions included. Final document delivered in PDF and editable format for client use.

Clients on working with Yapqero

Three people who used the service for different purposes and came back with different outcomes.

"The bank wanted three years of projections with monthly detail for the first year. Yapqero built exactly that, with a sensitivity table I hadn't thought to ask for. The loan officer said it was one of the cleaner submissions they'd seen."

"I came in with a rough idea and a spreadsheet that didn't quite add up. What I got back was a proper document - structured, readable, with assumptions I could actually defend in a room. It changed how I thought about the business."

"We needed a plan for an internal board review, not external funding. Yapqero adapted the format for that context - shorter, more focused on operational assumptions. It did the job without being overbuilt for what we actually needed."
